How many days until April Fool's Day?

Where April Fools' Day comes from

The tradition of playing practical jokes on 1 April is centuries old, although nobody knows its exact origin. One popular theory links it to the switch from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar in the 16th century, when people who kept celebrating the new year in spring were teased as "fools". In the UK the custom is that jokes must stop at midday — anyone who plays a trick in the afternoon is said to be the fool themselves. Newspapers, broadcasters and brands have long joined in with fake stories, from spaghetti trees to talking penguins. If you are planning a prank, keep it kind, avoid anything that could cause real worry or damage, and remember that not everyone enjoys being the target.
