How to use the Word Counter
Paste or type your text
Simply paste or type into the box and all counts update instantly as you type — no button to click. The word count, character count and all other stats are always live and accurate. The text area expands as you write, so you can work with documents of any length.
Reading and speaking time
The reading time estimate uses your chosen reading speed — average (200 wpm), fast or slow. Speaking time is calculated at 130 words per minute, which is standard for presentations and speeches. Both update live as you write, which is useful for timing speeches, essays or articles.
Keyword density
The top keywords panel shows the most frequently used meaningful words in your text, with their count and percentage. Common words like "the", "and" and "is" are filtered out so you see the words that actually matter. Useful for SEO writing, checking if your key topic words appear enough times.
